We have a new term to use!
We are familiar with crowd sourcing where people come together online to proved information and also we know about crowd funding where people choose to invest in the ideas of others.
Now we have crowd searching. In just one day, over 600,000 people from around the world volunteered to look at satellite images to help searchers locate the missing Malaysia jet that disappeared this week. These images are updated daily and placed on satellite company’s web site for any one to view. That’s a lot of eyes on the ground helping those on seas and in the air to find the wreckage. It just may make the difference.
I guess not all crowds are bad!
