What’s your “Smileage”?

I was recently reading an interview with Amit Kleinberger, the owner of Menchie’s, a very fast growing frozen yogurt franchise in North America.

He positions his self serve restaurants as a happy experience based on a mission of “it’s not what you sell, it’s what you do”. A happy customer experience in a Menchie’s store is measured in smiles, or to use the owners term “Smileage”!

What a great term! I started to wonder how it can be applied to our everyday lives? Let’s start to think about how often we smile or better yet make others smile. How will you measure your Smileage today? How about…. the number of smiles/hour?
