This was taken mid-afternoon on June 18, 2013 in downtown Canmore.

The rain had stopped temporarily but I could sense there was more to come. On the 19th and 20th there are national reports of flooding and evacuations due to heavy local rain in Canmore, Banff and Calgary, Alberta.

Locals are saying the situation is being made worse because the rains are causing the snow in higher altitudes to melt bringing more water to the lower lying areas which are already at capacity.
