Maybe I’m old fashioned. Maybe I’m unconsciously sexist. These possibilities may explain my dislike for parents who have chosen to name their children using both of their last names. I’ve always wondered who initiated that conversation in that relationship but that is a subject for another post.

So, finally while reading a sports writer’s article in MacLean’s I have come across a definition for doing this that helps me understand this bad parental decision; this was done to children born in the era of gender equality. I’m in favour of equality but not the demonstration of it by branding ones child.
